Position Title: Senior Application Developer
Location: Suitland, Maryland
Schedule: Full-time
WINTrio seeks a Senior Application Developer to maintain and modernize business-critical web applications and data services. The environment includes interactive data tables, public APIs, online ordering and payment integrations, administrative interfaces, and historical data applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain frontend and backend application components.
- Resolve production defects, remediate security vulnerabilities, and improve performance.
- Integrate new datasets and enhance data retrieval, presentation, and exchange.
- Modernize legacy code and support application migration to updated server environments.
- Develop administrative interfaces, dashboards, and application metrics.
- Maintain shopping-cart workflows and payment-service integrations.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
- Perform code reviews, unit and integration testing, regression testing, and deployment verification.
- Maintain source code, build pipelines, release procedures, and technical documentation.
- Apply secure development, accessibility, and configuration management practices.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining production web applications and database-backed services.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server skills.
- Experience with C#/ASP.NET or Adobe ColdFusion.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience developing or integrating APIs and handling JSON, XML, and CSV data.
- Ability to troubleshoot application code, database queries, and web-server configurations.
- Experience with version control, testing, and controlled software releases.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting applications or IT projects in the economic and statistical analysis domain, particularly systems used to collect, process, validate, analyze, and disseminate economic statistics.
Work Environment
- Full-time, fully remote position.
- Work supports a Federal Government program.
- Standard hours are expected to align with U.S. business hours.
- Video participation is expected for interviews, standups, sprint ceremonies, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Occasional after-hours support may be required for releases or deployments.
- All work must be performed within the United States.
