Job Summary

WINTrio LLC is seeking an experienced 508 Compliance Specialist to support a Federal Government program focused on digital accessibility, Section 508 compliance testing, and ICT accessibility remediation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience conducting accessibility audits, remediating non-compliant content, and advising Government stakeholders on accessibility compliance requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of Section 508 and WCAG standards, assistive technology testing, and Federal accessibility documentation practices.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Government stakeholders while ensuring accessibility compliance across a wide range of digital content and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accessibility testing and auditing of Federal ICT, including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, web applications, and digital platforms, for Section 508/WCAG conformance.
  • Conduct testing and validation using both automated accessibility testing tools and manual testing with assistive technologies.
  • Translate Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) into Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs).
  • Perform code correction and document/PDF remediation to bring non-compliant content into conformance.
  • Log accessibility bugs and defects, and provide clear, actionable remediation recommendations.
  • Provide helpdesk ticket support for accessibility issues, meeting defined response and resolution timeframes.
  • Deliver ICT accessibility training sessions on web and electronic content accessibility.
  • Maintain documentation and records of compliance measures, testing activity, and remediation outcomes.
  • Support weekly status and ticket reporting with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Coordinate with program offices and stakeholders to resolve accessibility and documentation issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10โ€“15+ years of experience in Section 508/accessibility compliance testing, with a strong preference for candidates with 15+ years of directly relevant experience.
  • DHS Trusted Tester Certification required.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the WCAG AA standard.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro for PDF accessibility remediation.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Hands-on experience with automated accessibility testing tools, including Deque Axe, WorldSpace Comply, and Attest and Assure.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and operating assistive technology testing tools, including JAWS and NVDA.
  • Experience with the full Deque tools suite and CommonLook PDF.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with senior Federal leadership and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must be eligible for PIV/CAC enrollment.
  • All work must be performed within the United States.

Work Environment

  • Full-time position.
  • On-site at a Federal Government facility in Washington, DC.
  • Standard business hours Monday through Friday.
  • Limited travel may be required in support of program activities.
