Honored for Using Innovative Technology to Modernize How USDA Delivers Agricultural Data to the American Public

LEESBURG, VA – WINTrio LLC has been selected as a 2026 Service to the Citizen Award winner in Category 4: Using Innovative Technologies to Deliver Simple, Seamless, and Secure Services. Presented by the Public Service Leadership Academy, the award recognizes government and industry leaders whose work makes a meaningful difference in how services reach the American public.

WINTrio was recognized for designing and delivering the NASS Integrated Cloud Environment (NICE) for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). NASS produces the commodity pricing data, crop surveys, and Census of Agriculture figures that inform federal farm programs, agricultural insurance markets, and the economic decisions of American producers. NICE replaced fragmented legacy infrastructure with a unified, cloud-native platform on Microsoft Azure that embeds AI-assisted development, Zero Trust security, and automated governance into how NASS builds and operates its systems. Application delivery cycles dropped from 18 months to a matter of months, four mission-critical applications reached production in a single year, and NASS has since adopted NICE as the standard for all future agency applications and services.
