Role: Lead Section 508 Analyst

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the IT field as a Business/Technical Analyst.
  • Produce or assess digital instructional materials that adhere to accessibility standards. Identify and resolve accessibility barriers to provide accessible materials and websites. Support real-time and postproduction captioning services to provide accessibility.
  • Evaluate the accessibility of instructional technology devices and software and make recommendations concerning best practices.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with local, states and federal laws as they apply to disability.
  • Provides accessibility analysis, documentation, and remediation of digital learning experiences.
  • Implement accessibility and disability standards, regulations, and best practices including WCAG 2.0, Section 508, WAI-ARIA, UAAG and ATAG.
  • Develop and review documents compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Presidential Plain Writing Act of 2010, and U.S. Copyright law.
  • Gather and organize information to resolve problems and redefine processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various levels of government personnel and conduct onsite observations to determine the methods, equipment, and resources for product development.
  • Develop solutions or alternative practices and recommend new systems, procedures, or processes.
  • Review and edit correspondence, curriculum, and programmatic documents. Provide
  • recommendations to management through presentations or written reports and confer with managers to ensure changes are effective.
  • Scan all current and future documents, web content, and applications, to make sure they are 508 compliant randomly and when requested.
  • Serve as consultant across divisions within the agency.
